As mentioned in the previous post, I was in Abu Dhabi and the Emirates in general for (
living the life of my dreams) a Model United Nations conference, which was held at the New York University in Abu Dhabi, which was my dream university (okay, actually the New York campus, but still) when I was a child.
The campus has left me speechless the entire time, seriously, that was incredible! If only I had chosen a scientific field of studies, I would have tried to end up there by all means, it’s seriously amazing.
Okay, now let’s talk about the conference. For those who are not familiar with it, the MUNs are diplomatic simulations which aim to reflect the work at the United Nations. During this simulation I was Japan at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, working on the topics of terrorism, extremism and alternative development.
That’s us! Hey, we hadn’t slept in ages, come on, be kind on judging.
Anyhow, the work was incredible and the atmosphere great, being Japan was actually quite helpful because we made it possible to merge with most of the countries and have a strong resolution which even happened to pass! And after months and months of studying the UN and countless resolutions, it was actually quite easy to write it down!
Well, when is it the next?
Have A Safe Journey!
