— No “go out and get it” kinda post, given my mood of the last few days (and weeks tbh). I’m scared to the point of mental breakdown about the upcoming months, about the decisions we all need to take and the choices that will mark our future path. I have options a,b,c all the way to z, then a1, a2 and so on and so forth. But despite everything I’m grateful for the people that have my back, from my dad who knows who to call when I’m literally freaking out and need some professional advice from someone who knows best what academic path I should follow in order to reach my professional goals, to my best friend who hears me complain 24/7 about the fact I’m gonna fail and never meet all the requirements. For tonight I’m just gonna mentally isolate and go back to that time we casually stopped in the middle of nowhere on the way to Tofino, just to enjoy dipping in this crystal blue river.

First day’s recap! - We have SECURITY STUDIES this year which is the main reason why I’m so excited to go to university because I mean it’s insane. - We are back in Italy, which translates in aperitivo after class, which is always a plus, right? - Being surrounded by the mountains is always priceless 💯 - Last but not least, my erasmus pal moved here as well... is that a #neverenedingerasmus? Can we go back to that time we were baking vegan lasanhas in my oven in Marques de Pombal? Or to that time we were eating hummus shawarma at Fenicios in Rua do Conde de Redondo? Or those days we were surfing at the Costa da Caparica... such a pity, ain’t nobody got time for that! 👯‍♀️

First day’s fuel.

— BEGINNINGS . Today is my last “first day” as undergraduate. This is the third “first day” of the year. 14 February, University NOVA of Lisbon 16 July, University of British Columbia 17 September, University of Trento. Can you believe how fast time flies by? It seems yesterday... That I walked into this department for the very first time as a student That I met my best friend and asked a very arrant question on the very first second That I found my place That I found my happiness That I found who I want to be in life... Today we sit down in that class, today we learn formally. Today we are reminded that we committed. Today we are reminded that we are still committed. This is our chance. This is our story. WE make the difference. Look back at yourself one last time. Look at that girl who entered the Department of Sociology and Social Research for the first time, full of expectations. Now look ahead... “Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road“
